I have been a very active member of the community over the past 10 years, as a volunteer and coach for hundreds of local kids in baseball, basketball, flag football, and soccer. I immediately had a passion for the "small town" feeling Lockport had to offer and I knew this was a community I wanted to be a part of. Shortly after moving to Lockport, I had the pleasure of seeing the entire community come together in 20 to support the State Champion Lockport Porters football team. Together we have two boys, ages 14 and 11. I am married to my wife Selina, who is a life-long resident of Lockport. My name is Martin "Marty" Boersma and I grew up in Orland Park and graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in 1999.
